Nebenzia: Washington continues to loot Syrian oil under the cover of fighting terrorism

New York (ST): Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, reiterated that the United States continues to steal Syrian oil, under the cover of combating terrorism.

TASS news agency quoted Nebenzia as saying in a session of the UN Security Council yesterday: “We will repeat once again that the United States is stealing Syrian oil in Syria and under the pretext of counter-terrorism.It was doing so in the beginning through a company with a mysterious history that was designated for this purpose, but as the situation turned scandalous even for Washington’s allies, the latter resorted to plundering the natural resources in Syria by other means through its army.

On another topic, and in response to the US Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Linda Thomas Greenfield when labeling African countries as “client countries or clients” in her comment on economic cooperation between these countries and Russia, Nebenzia said: “This designation is surprising” stressing that Moscow, unlike Washington treats African countries as partners, not clients.”
