Syria, Iran review ways of enhancing cooperation in several fields

DAMASCUS, Oct.6, (ST)- Yesterday, Prime Minister Hussein Arnous discussed with Iran’s Minister of Road and Urban Development Rostam Ghasemi the ways of enhancing bilateral relations in various fields, especially the economic, transportation, investment, reconstruction, and oil fields for the interest of both countries.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Arnous said that Syria appreciates Iran’s continued support for the Syrian people at all levels, especially ensuring oil derivatives in the light of the unjust blockade, welcoming the Iranian companies willing to develop economic partnerships with Syria.

Fir his part, Ghasemi, Head of the Syrian-Iranian joint committee, reiterated his country’s continuous support to Syria to overcome the difficulties encountered in the economic field, underlining the great potential for cooperation in commercial and urban projects.

The two sides hailed the strategic relations between the two countries based on mutual support and respect, asserting the importance of investing their material and human resources to develop the situation and prospects of vital economic sectors.
