Le Pen: European sanctions do not affect Russia, but punish the French

The head of the “National Rally” bloc in the French Parliament, Marine Le Pen, stressed that the sanctions imposed by the European Union on Russia do not affect it, but rather punish the French.

Russia Today website quoted Le Pen as saying in a television interview today: The sanctions are not working, and they are counterproductive, noting that, in fact, as a result of these sanctions, Russian oil export revenues have increased by 40 billion euros.

Le Pen explained that these sanctions punish the French who are facing a difficult winter now, and perhaps even more difficult in 2023, noting that the responsibility for this lies with those who took these ill-considered measures.
