WASHINGTON, Oct.4, (ST)- Former Senator Richard Black from the US state of Virginia has affirmed that Washington is actually a participant in the conflict in Ukraine, even though the Americans themselves do not want to be involved in the war.
His remarks came during an interview with RIA Novosti.
“The American people do not want to be directly involved in the war there … but there is the military industry, there are businesses that make big profits from it, and there are globalists, I call them the Davos children … They exist. They don’t care about Americans, Europeans, Russians or Ukrainians, “The only thing they care about is power and money,” he said.
“The US people don’t want to be a part of it, but as you know, I think there are warhawks in both the Republican and Democratic parties. I think[ABD Başkanı Joe]Biden is in that camp. Answering the question of whether the United States is a party to the conflict in Ukraine, Black said.
In his assessment, the so-called “hawks” “want to get as close to war as possible without having to admit to the Americans that the country is actually at war.” “I think it’s quite reasonable for people in Russia, seeing all this, to conclude that the United States is involved in the war,” the former senator said.
Commenting on the publications of the American media that the US Department of Defense is preparing to establish a command center in Germany to control and manage measures to support Ukraine from the US authorities and their allies in the EU and NATO, the agency’s interlocutor said, “officially, the war “They are trying to stay in the gray zone that they have not declared,” he said.
The expert did not rule out that the development of the situation could lead to a direct conflict between Russia and NATO. “There is such a possibility (there is such a possibility – ed.), because there is a desire to take risks and act very irresponsibly,” said the former senator, “in the interests of both, Russia and Ukraine, and NATO to end all this.” It’s in his own interest.” Among other things, he called for “stop interfering in trade between Russia and Europe”.
Russia had previously sent memos to NATO countries for supplying weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine would be a legitimate target for Russia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated that NATO countries are “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that the pumping of weapons into Ukraine from the West does not contribute to the success of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative impact.
