26 Israeli violations against Palestinian journalists and media documented during September

The Israeli occupation forces intentionally target Palestinian journalists with the aim of preventing them from covering the occupation’s violations against the Palestinians and exposing them to the World public opinion.

In its monthly report published on Saturday, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) said that it documented 26 Israeli violations against Palestinian journalists and media in the occupied territories during September.

It added that the Israeli occupation forces continuously and deliberately target Palestinian journalists with the aim of limiting their coverage of the Israeli occupation’s criminal practices and violations against the defenseless Palestinian citizens.

The report went on to say that 11 journalists were injured in September by rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters fired by the Israeli forces, not to mention the severe beatings and other kinds of attack.

The report also said that the occupation forces detained and seized the press cards of 13 journalists, opened fire on several reporters and damaged media equipment and attacked media outlets.
