The Prisoners’ Affairs Authority warns of the deterioration of the health condition of prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid

The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority has warned of the deterioration of the health status of prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid as a result of the arbitrary practices of the Israeli occupation against him, foremost of which is deliberate medical negligence.

The authority explained in a statement today, carried by Wafa Agency, that Abu Hamid’s health is deteriorating dramatically, as recent tests showed the spread of cancer in the second, third, fourth and seventh vertebrae of his spine, in addition to his brain and the rest of his body.

The authority indicated that Abu Hamid is going through a dangerous stage and suffers from a sharp drop in weight and severe pain in various parts of his body, in addition to continuous muscle weakness and the inability to walk except by means of a wheelchair.

The occupation forces have put   Abu Hamid, 49, under arrest since 2002.
