On September 29th, Pakistani President Arif Alvi affirmed his country’s keenness to develop fraternal relations between Syria and Pakistan and their two friendly peoples, and to find communication between private and public institutions in the two countries.
During his meeting with Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Syria Rashid Akhtar, Alvi called for the necessity of exchanging businessmen delegations, developing investments between the two countries, and evaluating the elements of strength between them so that each side complements the other to strengthen bilateral relations.
Alvi announced that his country will provide a package of technical training and educational courses from “Allama Iqbal” University and the Virtual University of Pakistan in all disciplines for Syrian students.
Alvi directed the new ambassador to remain in constant contact with the Syrian authorities for the optimal implementation of visits, and to sign memoranda of understanding between the two countries in this field.
