Zaporizhia declares secession from Ukraine and Lugansk asks to join  the Russian Federation

Zaporizhia (ST): The governor of Zaporozhia, Yevgeny Palitsky, announced the secession of the province from Ukraine by referendum, and submitted a request to Russia to accept it as part of it.
Palitsky was quoted by RIA Novosti news agency as saying that the Zaporozhia province has de facto seceded from Ukraine, and now we are waiting for a decision from the Russian authorities to accept our accession, and we have submitted our request to Russia to do so.
After all the votes were counted, the head of the Central Elections Committee of the Zaporozhia region announced that 93.11 percent of the population of the province voted in favor of joining Russia.
In turn, the President of the Lugansk Republic, Leonid Bashnik, announced that he will submit a request to Russian President Vladimir Putin tomorrow for the Russian Parliament to consider the republic’s accession to the Russian Federation, and submission to its legislation.
