Syria, Iran to enhance and develop means of cooperation in all cultural fields

Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mushouh, discussed with the President of the Association of Culture and Islamic Relations in Iran, Muhammad Mahdi Imani Pour the development of cultural relations.

The two sides discussed means of expanding cultural relations’ horizons, means of cooperation in all cultural fields, and exchanging cultural products and experiences between the two friendly countries.

Dr. Mashouh pointed out that the Iranian Cultural Week in Syria is a first step for stronger cultural relations between the two countries. She stressed the importance of expediting the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries, which have close historical relations.

For his part, Mahdi Pour stressed the importance of the relations between the two peoples and the Syrian and Iranian governments since long time ago, which were mixed with the blood of the martyrs. He said that the launching of the Iranian cultural week in Syria in a few days will contribute of enhancing the knowledge of Syrian people with the Iranian culture and civilization.

Mahdi Pour stressed the Iranian side’s readiness to develop relations with Syria in all artistic and cultural fields.
