Jaafari: International Community Become Convinced of the Existence of al-Qaida Affiliated Terrorism in Syria
NEW YORK (ST) _ Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Dr. Bashar Jaafari stressed that some countries tried to make talking about Syria and Iran as a hub for meetings of the UN General Assembly sixty-eighth session , to debate the file of chemical weapons , rather than pushing the political process forward and the parties concerned towards an international conference on Syria
Jaafari added in a press statement yesterday that putting Iran and Syria as a hub by some delegations is an artificial , rather than a fundamental issue , pointing out that those who spoke about Syria did not talk about it in good faith in the process of pushing the peace process forward , and Geneva 2 .
” These countries should have pressured parties which prevent Geneva conference and refuse to participate in its work to ask the armed terrorist groups that work to their interest in Syria to go to Geneva 2 “, Jaafari said.
He continued that some countries that seek to defame the Syrian government by focusing on the chemical weapons should push the political process forward towards Geneva 2 and pressure countries that finance terrorism , to stop funding the armed terrorist groups .
Jaafari explained that the Syrian issue now is not a question of chemical weapon because this issue occurred recently on the scene , and the true picture is the internal situation in Syria and the need that the countries that fund terrorism ,terrorists and armed terrorist groups to put an end to such support.
Jaafari pointed out that the international community has become convinced of the existence of al-Qaeda affiliated armed terrorism , in addition to recent scandals on jihad marriage that offended the Arabs and Islam , that have been applied in Syria, in its worst forms , supported by petrodollars and the full cooperation of the Turkish government.
“Unfortunately, some Arab Gulf are still immersed in the Syrian blood and in every conspiracy against a peaceful political solution in Syria ,” Jaafari said, adding that the proof on that they hold side meetings on a daily basis with anti-Syria delegations , a matter which does not serve achieving a peaceful process .
Jaafari pointed out that some Arab countries , especially the Gulf states are working on the manipulation of terrorism under the pretext of helping the Syrian people , pointing out that this manipulation will be reflected on them and make them pay dear price , the same price paid by America for its manipulation in Afghanistan.
