Russian gas and coal exports to China hit an historic record

Beijing (ST): The Russian Embassy in Beijing announced today that coal and natural gas exports from Russia to China hit a historic record last August.
RIA Novosti quoted the embassy as saying in a statement: “According to the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, last August, China imported quantities of natural gas from Russia, with a total of 409.37 million US dollars. This figure is the highest since at least January 2017”.
The statement added that coal exports in August also recorded their highest level in the past five years, reaching 8.542 million tons.
