The Jordanian writer and researcher Ahmed Jaradat: The people and the army in Syria wrote an epic in defending the homeland
Jordanian researcher and writer Ahmad Jaradat wrote many studies and researches that documented the conspiracies and terrorist war that Syria was subjected to, Through these studies, Jaradat demonstrated Syria’s historical role in defending the Arab nation and the Syrian just causes, pointing out that the army and the people in Syria wrote the epic of defending the homeland.
Jordanian researcher Jaradat stressed that one must realize that Syria’s strength and opposition have always protected Jordan from falling victim to the plans of the imperialist-Zionist-Wahhabi alliance.
Jaradat pointed out that what was written about what Syria was subjected to was little compared to the enormity of the sacrifices made by the Syrian Arab Army, the severity of the pain suffered by the Syrian people and the enormity of the war waged against Syria, not to mention the attempts to tear the social fabric, create social division, and buy cultural and media pens.
Jaradat said: “In wars to defend homelands, all legitimate weapons are used, the most important of which is the cultural weapon due to its important role in exposing conspiracies and those behind them,” pointing out that in literature, attention is not focused on the comparison between literary genres during the war, but rather the important literary expression of the national issue and that Literature and culture document what the nation and country have been through.
The researcher Jaradat believed that there are many patriotic intellectuals and writers who defended their country’s just causes, but there are some writers who promote neoliberal culture and play a subversive role for anyone who pays them a material wage, which affects the culture in many cases.
Regarding his project, The Syrian Odyssey Jaradat said that the book “The Syrian Odyssey” is an anthology of Syrian Literature that sheds light on the literary works written by Syrian writers who lived through the war of aggression against Syria. The Syrian Odyssey, according to Jaradat, is the great epic written by the Syrian Arab Army and the Syrian people on the land of their country.
On the reason for writing about the war on Syria by a Jordanian, researcher Jaradat said, “Any patriotic intellectual and any person with a clear conscience does not need reasons to make him declare a position in support of Syria,” noting that “this book is the first of its kind in this field in Syria and the Arab countries, and this is an honor to him.
It is noteworthy that Ahmad Jaradat is a researcher and a writer who has many publications on Syria in addition to other publications on various topics and works in literature and theater.
