ALEPPO, Sep.19, (ST)- Today, a convoy containing 30 electrical transformers of different capacities along with their requirements of cables and anchors arrived in Aleppo governorate to be put into service in the countryside of the governorate with the aim of completing the implementation of 150 electrical transformers that were allocated previously.
The Governor of Aleppo, Hussein Diab, told reporters that the arrival of a new batch of transmission centers and their supplies to Aleppo comes within the framework of government’s support to improve the situation of electrify in the governorate, especially after President Bashar Al-Assad’s visit to the city and his directive to ensure 150 centers, including 100 centers in the city and 50 in the countryside.
“Today, two centers were installed in the Al-Baqara section of Aleppo countryside to secure electricity,” the governor said, pointing out that work is continuing in all fields to rebuild Aleppo governorate to return as it was before the war.
For his part, Ahmed Hajj Omar, Director of the General Electricity Corporation of Aleppo Governorate, clarified that the transformers that arrived today have a capacity of 200 kilovolts and 100 kilovolts, and that the two transformation centers that were installed in the Al-Baqara section in the countryside of Aleppo have a capacity of 200 kilovolts.
