A convoy of electrical equipment and supplies arrives in Tartous Governorate to improve electrical feeding

Tartous (ST): A convoy of 13 trucks, loaded with electrical equipment and supplies, arrived in Tartous Governorate in order to rehabilitate and maintain the electrical network and improve the reality of electric feeding.

In the presence of the Minister of Electricity, Eng. Ghassan Al-Zamil, transformers and ready-made centers were installed in each of the Ras Al-Shughri neighborhood, near Al-Basel Hospital, where a transformer with a capacity of “400 kVA” was installed, in addition to the installation of a ready-made center with a capacity of “1000 kVA” in the Al-Ghamqa district,Al Gharbia and another center with the same capacity in the land of Ghandour in the prison neighborhood.

During his statement to reporters from the last website, Minister Al-Zamil talked about the ministry’s great efforts and endeavors, especially the generation, transmission and distribution institutions, in order to supply the electricity with additional quantities of energy and to face the difficulties represented in securing energy carriers from fuel and gas and the difficulty of securing the necessary spare parts for the maintenance of generating stations due to the unjust siege imposed on Syria.

At the end of his tour, the Minister of Electricity held a meeting at the headquarters of the General Company for Electricity in Tartous with the concerned managers, during which he was briefed on its work plan and its implementation, and discussed the mechanism of work in general.
