The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk Republic discusses with Ambassador Haddad areas of cooperation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic Natalia Nikonovna discussed with the Syrian Ambassador to Russia, Dr. Riad Haddad, during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Syrian Embassy in Moscow today, areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Minister Nikonovna expressed thanks and gratitude to the Syrian people and their leadership for the supportive stance of the Donetsk People’s Republic in its defense of its people, who are being subjected to the most heinous types of crimes by Ukrainian racist forces. This Syrian stance has been crowned by Syria’s courageous decision to recognize the independence and sovereignty of her country: the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Nikonovna stressed that the steadfast people of the Donetsk People’s Republic wish to strengthen bilateral relations in various diplomatic, economic, commercial, humanitarian and cultural fields with the Syrian people.
In turn, Ambassador Haddad stressed that Syria has always been and continues to stand on the right side of history and has expressed its full support for the Russian military operation aimed at protecting the people in Donbass since the first days of its launch, and has taken its decision to recognize the independence and sovereignty of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, based on Syria’s standing on the side of truth and justice. .
Haddad expressed the willingness of the Syrian side to establish bilateral relations based on meeting the aspirations of the peoples of the two countries in various fields that serve common interests.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Donetsk People’s Republic to the Russian Federation Olga Makeyeva and the accompanying delegation, and from the Syrian Embassy by the diplomatic attache Ahmad Qaddoura.
