Arab star Hani Shaker: My presence in Syria is a new artistic birth

On September 14th, Arab star Hani Shaker made a press conference in which he talked about the two evenings he will perform with the Syrian National Band for Arab Music on the opera stage in Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.

Singer Shaker stated that this overwhelming love and the great turnout of the Syrian people to attend his party is evidence that good art is fine due to the keenness of the peoples of Syria and Egypt.

He expressed his happiness to return to the Syrian art scene after an absence of more than 15 years, promising his fans who loved him and welcomed him with this passion for more concerts in all Syrian governorates.

Regarding the song he released on the occasion of his visit to Syria, “Long live Syria. Long live Egypt,” which is one of the words of the Syrian poet SufouhShaghalah and composed by the Egyptian composer Mahmoud Khayami, he explained that this combination between the Syrian word and the Egyptian melody is tantamount to building new and advanced artistic relations with Syrian composers and authors.

He welcomed the holding of concerts anywhere in Syria that would receive a wide audience in the country’s squares, and not only in the opera house.

For his part, Secretary-General of the Syrian-Egyptian Friendship Association, Talal Al-Attar, indicated that the presence of Hani Shaker in Syria is a message of love for the Syrian people.

The head of the Syrian community in Egypt, Basil Sammakieh, referred to the support of the Syrian community in all its forms to hold this ceremony in cooperation with the Ministries of Tourism, Culture, Transport and the Syrian Artists Syndicate.

The Syrian National Ensemble for Arab Music, led by the Dean of the Higher Institute of Music, Maestro Adnan Fathallah, the Shaker’s singing party will enrich the Syrian music library.
