Woman succeeds in founding a project to produce cosmetics from beehive products

Mrs. Manal Muammar has managed to adapt her practical and academic

experience in beekeeping in a small economic project to produce

natural cosmetics made from beehives and honey products.

In a statement to SANA correspondent Mrs. Muammar, stated that she

began working in beekeeping some 24 years ago and was affiliated with

the Arab Beekeepers’ Union in 2017, where she started producing honey

and other beehive products.

She explained that through her participation in most international

conferences of the Arab Beekeepers’ Union, festivals and local

exhibitions, she was introduced to experts of Syrian, Arab and foreign

beekeepers and she has gained considerable experience enabling her to

create her own project through which she aspires to offer products

that match the quality of international brands.

She went on to say, “I entered the world of skin and hair care after

joining many specialized academic courses. I have managed to make

handmade healthy chemical-free shampoo and conditioner from natural

herbal extracts, honey, propolis, pollen and beeswax, as well as

handcrafting soap from olive oil, distilled oils, herbal extracts and

beehive products.

She hoped that this product with its healthy natural ingredients will

take the lead in the local market, noting that it will be put on the

domestic market after completing the necessary procedures.

Muammar asserted that this special project provided her with a good

financial return and created new prospects for her to work, develop

her expertise and skills and enable her to learn about the areas of

utilization of beehive products.
