Cardinal al-Ra’ei : Prayers For Peace

BEIRUT,(ST)- “We pray to God , along with Pope Francis of the Vatican, for the political security, stability in Lebanon, Peace in Syria, Egypt and Iraq,” said theMaronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Ra’ei.

“We pray to God for solving the imminent conflicts through dialogue, negotiations and rapprochement, away from violence or wars,” Cardinal al-Ra’eiadded at Sunday mass in Mar Maroon Church in Rome.

 He pointed out that “the Middle East countries, torn by political conflicts and wars, witness terrorist extremist groups which are hostile to Christianity without any reason, but because these groups are justtakfiri movements.”
