Russian Foreign Ministry: Lavrov and some of his companions have obtained visas to participate in the work of the United Nations General Assembly

A source in the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and some of the personalities accompanying him had obtained the necessary travel visas to participate in the work of the United Nations General Assembly.
Russia Today website quoted the source as saying that “the American side issued visas to Lavrov and some of the personalities accompanying him to participate in the work of the United Nations General Assembly.”
The source added: “We expect to issue visas to the rest of the delegation members, as well as an urgent solution to logistical issues, given the restrictions of illegal sanctions by the United States, which hinders the issues of movement and access of Russian diplomats and representatives to participate in the General Assembly.”
For his part, Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the State Duma’s International Affairs Committee, stressed that if the United States does not issue these visas, a call should be made to move the United Nations headquarters from the territory of this country, stressing that supporters of this procedure can be found among the members of the UN Security Council.
It is noteworthy that the work of the new 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly is scheduled to open later today, and among the topics on its agenda are the crisis in Ukraine as well as global crises, including food, energy and fuel.
