Syrian national team athlete Shaima Sukkar won the gold medal in the Asian Championship currently being held in the Mongolian capital, Ulan Bator, with the participation of nine teams.
Sukkar surpassed her competitors after lifting 77.5 kgs to win the gold medal in the (equipped chest) lift.
President of the Game Federation, Ziad Muhammad, said to SANA that the player Sukkar proved to everyone that the game of physical strength in Syria is in continuous development and the ambition of its male and female players is to reach universality.
It is noteworthy that Sukkar will compete on Saturday in the “Classic Chest” lift, and Ziad Muhammad will participate in the Masters category competition next Sunday.
