Nebenzia: US accusations against Russia of forcibly transferring citizens from the liberated lands are baseless

Russia has renewed its rejection of US accusations of forcible transfers from the liberated lands in Ukraine to Russian lands, stressing that they are baseless allegations.

TASS quoted Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia as saying during a session of the UN Security Council on Wednesday, “The attempts of the United States, which it is making under the guise of human rights, to make public opinion which ignore facts believe in the existence of horrific camps in which peaceful Ukrainian citizens are tortured in order to force them to leave for Russia are malicious attempts.”

Nebenzia stressed that those who promote such rumors do not have facts and do not agree with international statistics, pointing out that the meeting of the Security Council at the invitation of the United States on Ukraine has become a new milestone for misinformation.

The Russian ambassador stressed that those heading to Russia are subject to registration procedures and not to screening, as is the case in Poland or in other European Union countries hosting Ukrainian refugees.

“We prefer to talk about real problems rather than fake ones, and after we have wasted time on the latest speculation and illusions, we suggest we talk about the real threats to international peace and security caused by foreign countries supplying Ukraine with weapons and military equipment,” Nebenzia said.
