The Minister of Culture, Dr. Labana Mushawah, discussed with an Italian delegation from the Venice Association for Italian-Arab Friendship a set of cultural projects, including the “Aleppo Pine” project, which is concerned with exchanging artifacts between the two friendly countries through memoranda of understanding between the Naples Museum and Syrian museums.
The project was accompanied by various cultural activities that reflect the civilized face of Syria, in addition to the educational project for children and adolescents through an illustrated book and translated into Arabic and Italian, and the exchange of educational visits and the creation of twinning between the children of the two friendly countries.
Dr. Mushawah affirmed that Syria is the gateway to the East and the West, and Syria was and still is a bridge between all civilizations, noting the importance of this cooperation in the antiquities project, which highlights the features of Syrian civilization and the efforts made to preserve its antiquities, especially during the war that was waged against it.
The Minister of Culture appreciated the work of the Italian exploration mission in Amrit and welcomed the building of strong relations for future cooperation in both countries within the legal frameworks.
The delegation included the Head of International Economic and Cultural Cooperation in the Society, Dr. Sana Shami, representative of the Angelico Constantiniana Academy of Literature, Art and Science, engineer Valentina Pischetelli, writer Argento Dorato, Dr. Elenora Belti, journalist writer Zino Bianchi and Belgian writer Patrick Desart.
