The Governor of Al-Hasakah discusses with the representative of the United Nations Population Fund, ways to increase the support provided to the health sector

The Governor of Al-Hasakah, Dr. Louay Sayouh, discussed with the representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Syria, Dr. Hamir Abdel-Mughni, ways to increase the support provided to the health sector.
During the meeting, Sayouh indicated the governorate’s readiness to provide all necessary measures to facilitate the work of the United Nations Population Fund office, calling for the need to increase the support provided to health centers, specifically reproductive health clinics, in the modernized medical center in the city of Al-Hasakah “The Pearl” and to provide it with modern equipment and supplies, explaining the importance of cooperation with the Health Directorate to activate mobile clinics in charitable societies and organizations.
For his part, Abdel-Mughni indicated that the visit to Al-Hasakah governorate comes within the framework of inspecting the projects implemented by the United Nations Population Fund in the governorate and reviewing its needs with the aim of improving its reality, which will reflect positively on the beneficiaries, stressing the existence of a plan to expand the projects that the Fund is working on in the governorate, specifically women development and reproductive health. .
Al-Hasakah Health Director, Dr. Issa Khalaf, in turn, gave a presentation on some of the health sector’s needs represented in securing an oxygen station, incubators for children, and medicines for infections and chronic diseases for the modernized medical center “The Pearl”.
