The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries cut off water for a million citizens for the 35thday Hasaka

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries from terrorist organizations continue to cut off drinking water for one million citizens in and around the city of Al-Hasakah by stopping pumping from the Allouk water station for the 35th consecutive day.

The Director-General of Al-Hasakah Water Company, Mahmoud Al-Okla, said that the Turkish occupier hasn’t pumped water   from the Alouk station in the countryside of Ras Al-Ain in a long time  and there are no developments in the situation so far, despite the efforts made to run the station .

He said: The only solution is the management of the station by the workers of the Company to ensure the continuation of pumping

He explained that the Company is currently taking measures to secure drinking water for the people by running 16 desalination plants in the city center to alleviate the suffering of the people,, in addition to transporting and filling water in the tanks scattered in the streets in the city center in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and in coordination with The Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor

In this context, the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor continues, through the NGOs, the initiative of a drop of water, which includes distributing water to the people through special tanks

The Director of Social Affairs Ibrahim Khalaf said that the drop of water initiative implemented by charitable and civil societies continues for the 11th consecutive day to distribute water to the people

Khalaf indicated that the initiative will include, during the coming period, distributing water to students and schoolchildren, especially with the start of the new school year and the rise in temperatures.

The people expressed their rejection of the plans of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries aimed at making them thirsty with what constitutes a crime against humanity

They called on all international and human rights bodies to intervene and stop these violations that violate all international norms and laws.
