Minister Miqdad discusses with Latifi exchanging experiences in the field of administrative and professional development

iqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, met in the presence of the Minister of Administrative Development Dr. Salam Safaf with Dr. Maytham Latifi, Assistant to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Head of the Foundation for Public Administration and Employment Affairs, and the accompanying delegation

The two sides discussed areas of cooperation, exchange of experiences and mutual benefit from the experience of the two countries in the field of administrative and professional development. 

Minister Miqdad referred to the depth of relations between the two countries in all political, economic and development fields and the importance of coordination with Iran in order to advance the administrative reform project launched by Syria

He stressed that Syria seeks to overcome all difficulties facing the development of the public sector, increasing its productivity and providing it with working staff and experts

Minister Miqdad condemned the unilateral coercive sanctions imposed by the United States of America and its Western allies on both Syria and Iran because they are a real obstacle to all attempts at administrative reform and achieving comprehensive development

He expressed Syria’s support for the Islamic Republic of Iran, which shows dealing wisdom and courage when dealing with the Iranian nuclear file.

For his part, the Iranian official expressed the depth of the relations between the two countries and the common will to strengthen them in all fields and to benefit from the human energies and capabilities available on both sides to achieve the common interest of the two friendly peoples and countries. 

Latifi reiterated his country’s firm position in support of Syria, its sovereignty and territorial integrity. 

The meeting was attended from the Syrian side by Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates
