Syria condemns the continuity of the US’s intervention in China’s internal affairs

DAMASCUS, Sep.4, (ST)-Syria has strongly condemned the continuity of the US’s intervention in the internal affairs of China, asserting its support for Beijing in defending its sovereignty and security and the One-China principle.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a tweet on Sunday: “We strongly condemn the United States’ continuous practice of military escalation policies and its threat to international peace and security around the world through the provocative arms deal announced by the US administration to Taiwan…. We stand by China in defending its sovereignty and security… We reiterate our support for the “One- China” principle.”

“Syria constantly affirms its absolute and unlimited support for China’s efforts and its principled positions in the face of attempts of external intervention in its internal affairs, whether in Taiwan, Hong Kong or Xinjiang, stressing China’s non-negotiable or bargaining right to take the measures and steps it decides to protect and preserve its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.” The ministry added.
