19 people die as floods continue in Pakistan

Islamabad (ST): 19 people were killed and 1,256 injured in floods caused by monsoon rains in Pakistan in the past 24 hours.

Xinhua quoted the National Disaster Management Authority as saying in a report that the country’s southern province of Sindh was the worst affected, with 12 people killed and nine injured, followed by two provinces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the northwest, then two provinces in southwestern Balochistan, which reported four and then three deaths. respectively, 66,190 homes were destroyed.

It is noteworthy that the total number of victims in Pakistan as a result of the monsoon rains has risen since mid-June to about 1186 dead and 4,896 injured, in addition to the destruction of 1,172,549 houses, while an estimated 733,488 head of livestock died due to rain across the country.
