Transport Ministry: Continuing to repair the damages of the Israeli aggression on Aleppo airport to restore it to service

Damascus (ST): The Ministry of Transport clarified that its technical cadres are continuing to repair the damage caused by the Israeli aggression that targeted Aleppo International Airport to return it to full service starting tomorrow.

The ministry said in a statement: “Our technical cadres in the General Organization of Civil Aviation, in coordination and cooperation with our specialized national companies, are continuing to restore and repair the damage caused by the Israeli aggression that targeted Aleppo International Airport last Tuesday.”

The statement indicated that the technical cadres are “intensifying all their efforts to resume the operation of the airport within safety and security procedures, to secure the landing and take-off of aircraft, to serve passengers, and to fully return to service, starting today at twelve noon, local time, without any modification to scheduled flights as usual.”

The statement pointed out that “as for Damascus International Airport, the suspension of some equipment that was damaged as a result of the Israeli aggression does not affect the airport’s work, and it continues to provide and serve air traffic normally.”
