Russia distributes food aid in the countryside of Al-Suwayda

Al-Suwayda, ST) – On Wednesday, the Russian Coordination Center distributed food aid provided by the government of the Russian Federation to the neediest families in the town of Aura, in the Al-Suwayda countryside.

The official for humanitarian aid at the Russian Coordination Center in Damascus, Lieutenant Alexander, said in a statement to reporters that this aid comes within the plan of the Russian Coordination Center. The aid includes the distribution of 500 food rations, including rice, flour, tea, oil and seed milk and it targets poor families, martyrs’ families and needy people in the town.

In turn, the Head of the town council of Ari Samir Hamed expressed, in a similar statement, his thanks to the Russian Federation, government and people, for standing by the Syrian people in light of the difficult economic conditions as a result of the war and the unjust siege on the country. This matter reflects the depth of the historical and continuous friendship between the two countries.
