MOSCOW, Aug.30, (ST)- Syria’s delegation that is participating in the summer camp on dialogue of cultures and nationalities in the city of Saransk, capital of the Russian Republic of Mordovia, has taken the first place for its performance, commitment and distinguished participation in all activities.
The student Ward Ajeeb from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts performed the character of Trebelev from Antoine Chekhov’s “The Seagull “play, while the student, Nour Khair al-Anam from the Higher Institute of Cinematic Arts, presented a film that was directed and produced by the Ministry of Culture.
Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for National Affairs of the Russian Federation Stanislav Bedkin said in a speech during his meeting with the camp participants that “it is very important for us in this camp to get acquainted with the diversity of cultures better, establish communication, share our experience in implementing projects and exchange interesting ideas that we can implement in the future.”
The camp’s goal is to develop cooperation among young people, hold meaningful discussions and implement promising projects and initiatives.
During the camp, dialogues were held during which issues about education and language preservation and development programs were discussed.
The participants also discussed projects for preserving national languages.
It is noteworthy that the camp for the dialogue of cultures and nationalities for youth was held between August 24-28, and its activities were attended by 150 representatives from the Russian regions besides a delegation from Syria.
