Syrian Arab army obliterates several terrorists’ hideouts in Adra, seizes grenades and booby-traps in Lattakia

PROVINCES,(ST)_Dozens of foreign-backed terrorists, mostly from al-Nusra Front, have been eliminated outside Damascus, Homs, and Aleppo provinces amid reports of confiscating different types of weapons in Lattakia province.

As many as 10 terrorists died today when the armed forces raided a hideout on the outskirts of Shebaa town in the eastern Ghouta outside Damascus, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency added that the armed forces wiped out 15 Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) in the same area and killed many terrorists in farms located between Shebaa and Der al-Asafir town and in the areas of Masraba, Doma, al-Bahhareyeh farms, Erbin, Zamalka and Adra.

It confirmed the death of 10 al-Nusra Front-affiliates in Yabroud area, precisely between towns of Ras al-En and al-Sarkha.

More terrorists were hammered in towns of Hajjira and al-Dyabeyyeh in  southern Damascus countryside and in farms stretching from Darayya to al-Moaddameyeh areas.

Explosion bids

On the other hand, an official source declared that an army unit thwarted terrorists’ bid to detonate three explosive devices in al-Halaleh orchards in Qatana, around 25km to the south-west of Damascus. A quantity of weapons was seized in the orchards.

Another bid to blast an explosive-laden car in Kafrnan town in Homs province was foiled too.

Terrorists ransack a school

But in Jayroud area, which is located around 55km to the north-east of Damascus, the terrorists reportedly attacked a secondary school and ransacked computers and printers.

Meanwhile, the armed forces targeted terrorists’ hideouts and groupings in 11 areas-Taldo, Kesin, Tal Dahab, alGhasebeyeh, alRastan, alQarabis, Joret alShayyah, Wadi alSayeh, alWarsheh, Akrad alDasneyeh, Talbeseh- in Homs province.

Some terrorists, according to an official source, were taking shelter inside a school in al-Qarabis quarter in the city.

Terrorist attacks kill 10 citizens

The same province (Homs) witnessed three terrorist attacks that left 10 citizens martyred and several others wounded.

The first attack took place on Homs-Mesyaf road when the terrorists detonated a booby-trap as a bus was passing by. At least 9 citizens were martyred and several others wounded.

While the second happened when a rocket landed on a bus picking up citizens from Akrad al-Dasneyeh to al-Hesa town. The driver was martyred and several passengers were wounded.

Another rocket, fired by terrorists, landed on citizens’ homes in Domin town in al-Sa’en area causing serious damages to homes. No casualties reported.

Continuous operations

Back to results of operations in other provinces, a military source said that the armed forces destroyed weapons, including rocket launchers, and crushed tens of terrorists in several areas in  northern Aleppo province.

It noted that the armed forces warded off terrorist groups’ attacks on Hanano Barracks and al-Kindi Hospital.

The source also reported that a clash flared up between an army unit and an armed terrorist group trying to infiltrate into Salaheddin quarter, citing that all group’s members perished.

Elsewhere, the armed forces killed an unknown number of terrorists linked to al-Nusra Front in 12 areas in Idlib province and in 3 areas in Der Ezzour province.

Moreover, the competent authorities, in cooperation with locals, confiscated 18 grenades, explosive devices, weaponry, munitions, and stolen medicines inside a hideout of terrorists in Bestan al-Samakeh quarter in Lattakia province.
