A solidarity meeting in Damascus to support prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons

On August 29th, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine(PFLP)  organized a solidarity meeting with the prisoners and detainees in the prisons of the Israeli occupation at the headquarters of the Palestinian National Council in Damascus

The participants called on the international community and human rights institutions to intervene urgently to protect the prisoners and put pressure on the Israeli occupation to apply the rules of international humanitarian law and liberate them

The participants in the meeting renewed their support for the prisoners and their solidarity with them in light of the violations and brutal practices they are subjected to by the Israeli occupation authorities

The participants noted the support of these countries and forces, led by Syria, with the Palestinian cause and the support of the Palestinian people to restore their rights, liberate land and prisoners, and establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its eternal capital.

A member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Ahmed Abu Al-Saud, gave a presentation on the arbitrary and brutal practices of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners and detainees

He stressed the need for solidarity with them and to convey their voice and what is happening with them to the countries of the world to support them and liberate them from captivity.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Syrian Arab People’s Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Project, Dr. Saber Falhout, Director General of Al-Quds International Foundation (Syria), Dr. Khalaf Al-Muftah, and a number of representatives of Palestinian organizations.
