Tehran: US sanctions on Iran have failed in achieving their goals

Vice Chairman of the Iranian Intelligence Organization Brigadier Mehdi Sayyari has stressed that the US sanctions on his country have failed in achieving their goals and making any change in Iran.

In a statement on Saturday, Sayyari said that “the enemy is waging a wide-scale war against Iran and inciting citizens to protest and create a state of unrest inside the country through fabricating news and stirring up hatred between the Iranian citizens and their government to undermine the future of the country”.

This psychological war aims at distorting Iran’s image in the Islamic world and creating sedition and frustration among the Iranian people, said Sayyari, clarifying that the currently prevailing spirit in Iran seeks to strengthen hope and enhance the youth abilities.
