President Al-Assad issues order ending retention of reserve military personnel

President Bashar Al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, on Saturday issued an administrative order ending the retention and recalling of reserve officers and soldiers as of October 1st, 2022.

Retained reserve officers and soldiers, who have been serving for more than 6 and a half years and the retained reserve officers and soldiers, who were born in 1983 and who have been serving at least two years are covered by this order.

A wide segment of military personnel will also benefit from  this order.
