President Assad to Dlamini: Syria keen on promoting relations with South Africa based on mutual interests

President Assad in his meeting with Deputy Minister of International relations and cooperation in the republic of South Africa confirmed that Syria is keen on developing relations between the two countries based on common interests.

President Assad considered that the mutual relations form the corner stone for achieving stability and security.

President Assad reiterated that terrorism can not be fought with armies only as fanaticism knows no borders and is easily transmitted between people through social media and from here come the importance of bilateral relations between countries in the fields of economy and culture.

South Africa is independent country and respects its principles, said president Assad.

It plays an important role in world politics whether as a country or as part of the BRICS.

It has stood next to Syria in its fight against terrorism and in Syria’s right in the Occupied Golan.

In turn Dlamini noted that her country  suffered for a long time from instability and that she highly appreciates the help that it got from Syria at that time .She considered that  what Syria is passing through today should be shared as an experiment and noted as a point of view of how to surpass crises.
Dlamini noted that the current situation requires continuous friendship based on mutual support for despite the distance between South Africa and Syria -where there’s a will there’s a way .She asserted  that work will continue inorder to activate already signed MOU’s and  sign new treaties in different aspects.
