Minister Miqdad lays a wreath at the monument of Abkhaz Patriotic War
On August 25th, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Dr. Faisal Miqdad, accompanied by Abkhaz Foreign Minister Inal Ardzinba and representatives of the Abkhaz government, laid a wreath at the Abkhaz Patriotic War Memorial in the Park (Military Glory) in the city of Sukhumi.
This memorial occupies a great place among the Abkhaz people, as it contains the remains of their sons who sacrificed their lives for the independence of their country during the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia in the period 1992-1993, when on August 14, 1992 Georgia launched a war against this country.
The Syrian Ambassador to Russia, Dr. Riad Haddad participated in laying the wreath at the memorial.
