Minister Miqdad begins a visit to the Republic of Abkhazia
On August 24th, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, began an official visit to the Republic of Abkhazia.
A source in the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry stated that Minister Miqdad arrived in the Abkhaz capital, Tsukhum, on an official visit to the Republic of Abkhazia.
The source added: The Abkhaz Foreign Minister, Enal Ardzinba, received Minister Miqdad at the Abkhaz-Russian border.
In addition, the Abkhaz foreign minister said in a press interview that the meeting with Miqdad comes in the context of strengthening relations between Syria and Abkhazia.
Ardzinba explained that the objectives of the visit focus on coordinating joint efforts, discussing Middle East issues and a host of other issues of mutual interest, including signing a framework agreement that helps formulate a mechanism for joint cooperation.
