Sending water tanks to provide drinking water to citizens in Hasakah city

Hasaka (ST) – On Wednesday, the Syrian Al-Yamamah Charitable Society implemented an initiative to distribute drinking water to the citizens in Hasakah, in the light of the Turkish occupation and its terrorist mercenaries’ continued attempts to cut off water supplies for the resident of Al-Hasaka city.

A member of the association’s board of directors, Ismail Al-Taha, said in statement to SANA that the association, in the coordination with Al-Hasaka governorate, and under the supervision of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, sent a number of tanks to distribute drinking water to the people in the light of the continuing water cut off by the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries. He stressed the continuation of water distribution process according to the capabilities available to the association.

The representative of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor Hazem Amir indicated that a number of charities have started implementing similar initiatives to distribute water to the people in Al-Hasaka, in the light of their continuous suffering in securing drinking water. The official authorities are supporting the delivery of water as an emergency solution, until finding a solution for the Allouk water station, which is controlled by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

It is to be noted that Al-Hasaka city council operates tanks to secure water for the people in the city, and coordination is made between government parties, NGOs, and international organizations to secure and deliver water to the people.
