Russian Defense: Ukrainian forces intend to blow up a bridge in the city of Sumy

On August 18th, the head of the Russian National Defense Monitoring Center, Mikhail Mizintsev, announced that the regime forces in Kiev were planning to blow up a bridge in the city of Sumy, eastern Ukraine, and accused the Russian army of indiscriminate strikes on infrastructure.

“We have accurate information that near the residential neighborhood Staroy Selo in the city of Sumy units of the Ukrainian forces mined the bridge over the Basol River and all roads leading to it, as well as the sides of the adjacent highway, while the residents were not warned,” Mizintsev was quoted by Russia Today as saying.

Mizintsev warned that the Ukrainian forces plan to accuse Russia of indiscriminate strikes and spread this provocative act on a large scale through the Ukrainian and Western media.
