Iranian security forces arrest a dangerous terrorist who carried out criminal acts in Syria

TEHRAN, (ST) – The Iranian Ministry of Security arrested on Wednesday one of the most dangerous terrorists known for his cross-border terrorist acts. It indicated that he was a member of the ranks of terrorist organizations in Syria and had previously carried out criminal acts in a number of Syrian cities.

IRNA News Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that, the forces affiliated with it were able, after careful monitoring and tracking, to arrest one of the most dangerous terrorists in light of his track record

The statement pointed out that this person was a member of the takfiri terrorist groups active in Syria and carried out criminal acts in the cities of Aleppo, Hama and Idlib.

The Iranian Ministry of Security indicated that this element of the transnational terrorist network, who was also an expert in heavy weapons, was forced, after the defeats incurred by the terrorists in Syria, to transfer the focus of his terrorist activities to two countries neighboring the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to continue his criminal acts against the Iranian people.

Last month, the Iranian Ministry of Security announced the arrest of 10 members of a terrorist cell affiliated with separatists in northwest Iran.
