Syria, UN Population Fund to enhance the joint cooperation in medical services

Damascus, (ST) –  The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghubash, discussed with the acting representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Syria, Dr. Humir Abdel-Mughni means of enhancing coordination between the two sides.

The two sides also discussed the means of developing areas of joint cooperation with the aim of providing the appropriate medical services and send them to those deserving  in a timely manner.

Dr. Al-Ghubash stressed the need to raise the degree of coordination regarding the priorities of the health sector set by the Ministry of Health as the reference authority in this regard. He called for more support and flexibility in order to provide the desired service to ensure the preservation of the health of citizens. The Minister of Health expressed his thanks for the efforts undertaken by the United Nations Population Fund in Syrian.

In turn, Dr. Abdel-Mughni drew attention to the cooperation shown by the Ministry of Health, despite the great responsibilities imposed by the current circumstances. He expressed all readiness for further coordination and cooperation.
