National Consultation on the Education Transformation Summit, a workshop for the Ministry of Education in coordination with international organizations

Damascus (ST): With the aim of reviewing and approving a Syrian paper on education transformation and national commitment before submitting it to the “Education Transformation” summit, which will be held in New York next September, the Ministry of Education held a workshop today under the title (National Consultation on the Education Transformation Summit) in coordination with international organizations working in the field of education at the Damaroz Hotel in Damascus.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, gave a presentation during the workshop that included the most prominent items of the national commitment document related to skills development, encouraging creativity and moving education from the traditional to the interactive side by developing learning contents and comparing them between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, developing education skills and the necessary change for them, and determining the shape of the school and class that should be  in the future, draw the cultural relationship between the teacher and the student, describe the contents of education, and start new classes that are more open so that the learner is able to express himself and do the skills of the current century.

Minister Tabbaa indicated that the national commitment that Syria will submit to the United Nations on the 22nd of August was built according to the foundations set by the United Nations, stressing that education in the next stage should focus on educational strategies, techniques, and test-building mechanisms, in addition to evaluating student results and work and how to organize The lesson through 6 basic elements that characterize teaching skills in the current century, the most important of which is the general framework of education, which leads to a new method of educational assessment.
