Syria and Belarus discuss prospects for enhancing cooperation in the scientific and technological fields

Minsk (ST): The Syrian Ambassador to Belarus, Muhammad Al-Amrani, discussed with the Chairman of the Belarusian State Committee for Science and Technology, Minister Sergey Shlitskov, relations of cooperation in the scientific and technological field and the points on the agenda of the joint committee between the two countries.

During the meeting held yesterday between them, the two sides agreed on the importance of enhancing cooperation in the scientific and technological field, stressing the need for the meeting of the joint committee between the two countries to achieve the desired scientific and practical goals through exchanging information, experiences and ideas in this field.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian-Belarus joint committee for cooperation in the field of science and technology held its meeting yesterday via video technology, headed by the Syrian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim and Minister Shlitskov, and in the presence of the Belarusian ambassador in Damascus, the Syrian ambassador in Belarus and members of the embassy.
