Pushilin: Setting the date for the referendum on Donetsk’s accession to Russia will take place after its complete liberation
On August 11th, the President of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin announced that the date of the referendum on the accession of the republic to Russia will be set after the complete liberation of its territory from Ukrainian forces.
“Our main efforts now are aimed at the complete liberation of the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, and as soon as it is liberated within its constitutional borders, we will all know the date of the referendum very quickly,” RIA Novosti quoted Pushilin as saying.
Pushilin pointed out that Donetsk has experience in holding referendums, and elections for the president and parliament were carried out.
