China: Washington plays the Taiwan paper to contain Beijing

Moscow, (ST) –   The Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanawi said that Washington is preparing to play with the Taiwan paper to contain Beijing.

“The real goal is to play with the Taiwan paper at any cost in order to contain China’s development”, Hanawi added.

He continued that, “I would like to point out that the visit of US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi was a dangerous step on the part of the United States to distort the principle of (one China).  “This visit proves the role of the United States as the largest peace destroyer in Taiwan, which has the most negative impact on regional stability this fully shows all the policies of the United States regarding international affairs are hypocrisy”, Hanawi said.

On August 7, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi confirmed that Pelosi’s reckless visit to Taiwan made Washington in three mistakes, one of which was illegal interference in China’s internal affairs.
