Moscow (ST): The deputy director of the deployment and reducing arms at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Igor Fishfitsky, announced that experts from Russia and the United States will discuss the issue of suspending inspections under the Treaty (Start 3), stressing that Washington will have to report how discussions will proceed.
Russia Today website quoted Fishfitsky as saying that from a legal point of view, the position of the Russian Federation is well studied and its proposals stipulated in the agreement, explaining that “an unequal situation has arisen … our inspectors cannot fly across Europe and we are not given the opportunity to obtain transit visas and our planes are not allowed to fly and we have not imposed any restrictions on this is against the United States. ”
