US occupation daily steals 66,000 barrels of oil out of 80.000 barrels from the production of eastern fields in Syria

DAMASCUS, Aug.9, (ST)- The Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources has declared that the amount of oil production during the first half of this year reached about 14.5 million barrels, with an average daily production of 80.3 thousand barrels, of which 14.2 thousand barrels are delivered per day to refineries, while the American occupation forces and their mercenaries steal 66,000 barrels per day from the fields occupied in the eastern region.

During a meeting held on Tuesday to discuss its work plans and the work of its subsidiaries during the first half of this year, the ministry indicated that natural gas production hit 2 billion cubic meters, with a daily production rate of 11.3 million cubic meters per day, of which 11.1 million cubic meters per day is clean gas.

The ministry clarified that 82% of the produced gas is delivered to the Ministry of Electricity, 3% to the Ministry of Industry, and 15% to the Ministry of Oil.

“The average quantities delivered to the Ministry of Electricity on a daily basis hit 8.6 million cubic meters, including  the “Swedeyeh” plant…Three gas wells were put into production, while the total production of gas reached the household is 42.000 tons, equivalent to 234 tons per day,” it added.

As for the refining process, the ministry indicated that about 1.990 million tons were refined in the Homs and Baniyas refineries, while 537 million tons were refined on spare capacity refining contract.

“The refineries’ production of oil derivatives during the first half of this year reached up to 355.000 tons of premium gasoline, 545.000.000 tons of diesel, and 960.000 tons of fuel, while the percentage of domestic gas implementation did not exceed 40% of the supply plan only,” the ministry said.

According to the ministry’s data, the oil and mineral resources sector suffered losses during the terrorist war on Syria, including 235 martyrs, 46 injuries and 112 kidnapped, and the total direct and indirect losses reached up to about $105 billion since the beginning of the war (2011 ) until the middle of this year.
