Nakhaleh: Palestinian people score a historic achievement in confronting Israeli aggression

TEHRAN, Aug.8, (ST)- The Secretary-General of the Palestinian Jihad Movement, Ziyad Nakhaleh, affirmed that the Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance scored a historic achievement in confronting the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, represented by the unity of the squares, the survival of the resistance, and the imposition of the release of two prisoners from the Israeli enemy detention centers.

Nakhaleh explained in a press conference today that the Zionist enemy raised a clear slogan of its aggression, which is the liquidation of the Jihad Movement and its military wing, the Al-Quds Brigades, but the movement is stronger today despite the difference in the balance of power with the enemy, and that all its settlements and military sites were within the range of the resistance’s missiles.

Nakhalaeh pointed out that the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire with the Zionist enemy included the occupation’s commitment to release the two prisoners, Khalil Al-Awawdeh and Bassam Al-Saadi, indicating that Al-Awawda would be taken directly to the hospital and then home, while the Egyptian side pledged to work for the release of Al-Saadi within a week.

He stressed that the resistance would resume fighting if the enemy did not abide by what was agreed upon.

The Palestinian resistance targeted the settlements of Ashkelon, Sderot, Netivot, Kissufim and the Ra’im military site with a number of rockets before the ceasefire entered into force.
