AL-Miqdad receives phone call from Abdollahian

DAMASCUS, Aug.7, (ST)-The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received this evening  phone call from his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, during which they discussed the crimes being committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people in the cities and areas of the Gaza Strip.

The two sides expressed full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of Zionist aggression, stressing that the international community has to play a real role in protecting them from the Zionist machine of destruction.

They also reiterated the firm stance of the two countries towards the Palestinian people and restoring their legitimate rights.

Al-Miqdad affirmed that the Syrian Arab Republic continues to stand by the Palestinian brothers who defend their right to life and freedom, pointing out that the inaction of the international community in the face of these attacks, and the unlimited US support for the usurping Zionist state have pushed this entity to continue its crimes brutality and to practice terrorism against the owners of the land, who have the right to exist and live in security, peace and dignity.

He underscored that what is happening in the Palestinian territories requires the unity of the Palestinian brothers at the national level and before the international community, and that this also requires solidarity from all Islamic countries with the Palestinian people to stop this aggression and isolate Israel inn the regional and international arenas.

For his part, the Iranian minister asserted that his country stands by the Palestinian people against this aggression, indicating that the axis of resistance continues to support the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people against the Zionist entity.

He referred to the unity of the Syrian and Iranian stance towards the Palestinian cause and other crucial issues, saying that two friendly and brotherly countries go ahead with enhancing cooperation between them in all fields.
