Syrian Arab army repels infiltration attempt into Abo Dohur airbase, hunts down terrorists in Hama

PROVINCES,(ST)_In less than a week and for the third time, units of the armed forces destroy weaponry coming from Turkey for the terrorists in  northern Aleppo province.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the armed forces destroyed today several weapons-laden cars on the roads of De Hafer-Aleppo and Albab-Aleppo and near the entry of Albab city and Hritan area in Aleppo countryside.

Daily bids to enter safe areas

“All terrorists inside the cars,  coming from Turkey, died”, an official source said, noting that other terrorists were mowed down when they tried to attack locals in  the safe areas of al-Layramon, Khan al-Assal and Khan al-Wazer in the old city of Aleppo.

It also confirmed the continuation of targeting terrorist groupings, rocket launchers and mortars in towns of al-Jadedeh and Kweris where an unknown number of terrorists perished.

Concurrently, the armed forces were locked in fighting with armed terrorists who tried to sneak into the northern side of Abo al-Dohur airbase in Idlib countryside, inflicting heavy losses on them.

A military source declared that many terrorists were killed in the fighting, without giving an exact death toll.

It cited that many hideouts of terrorists were pounded in 10 towns -Darkosh, Ein al-Bara, al-Tayebat, al-Shegr, Bennesh, Bzabour, al-Hamedeyeh, En Jren, Jerjenaz, Ma’aret al-No’aman, and Kafr Rouma outside Idlib province.

In another development, the armed forces thwarted terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate from the Lebanese territories into Tal Kalkh in  central Homs province.

Hama’s al-Kharsan town ‘safe’

Furthermore, the army eliminated many terrorists and wiped out a rocket launcher while they were tracking down armed terrorist groups in Bari Sharqi town outside al-Salameyeh area in Hama province. 

A military source said that a terrorist group’s ringleader was among the dead in the said town, adding that the armed forces imposed control over al-Kharsan town in al-Ham’ra area in eastern Hama countryside.

Clashes in Der Ezzour

More terrorists, including a sniper, were killed in clashes that flared up between the armed forces and terrorist groups in the quarters of al-Jbeleh, al-Hweqa and al-Sena’a in Der Ezzor province, according to Alikhbaria al-Soreyeh TV channel.

The channel’s reporter added that a terrorist grouping was targeted in Hetleh area in the same province. Five identified terrorists were among the dead.

In a separate incident, a quarrel erupted between terrorist groups over splitting loots in al-Bokamal area, around 130 km to the south-east of Der Ezzour province. It ended in the death of many terrorists there.
